Sharpening chainsaw chain for homemade chainsaw mill

    Hi guys,
Here's a video about sharpening chain for chainsaw milling: http://sharpen.tips/youtube1. Though if you can sharpen a good CS mill chain you can REALLY beast standard cross cut chain...
It's a chat about the advantages and disadvantages of certain chain angles, filling vs using a bench grinder, bench grinder technique, and I show a few little modifications I made to a cheap chain sharpener/grinder to make it work better

    Thanks Frank, 'preciate that
Does anyone on here have experience with a grandberg 12v sharpener like this https://ebay.to/30yq210 ? I am considering trying it, but have heard people say that the stones wear out quite quick and thus unevenly grind the chain if it's a super long one with lots of links? I know there are different kinds of stones available so that must affect that - any recommendations please?

Also, if anyone has experience of using carbide tipped chainsaw for milling I'd love to hear it - I know they are a lot more pricey, worth it?
