Had to make my Sharpies heavy duty. This did the trick.

Nice idea I've ruined several sharpies over the years by laying them on a table then forgetting about them and dropping something on top of them
or have them get knocked to the floor without realizing it they always seem to roll under something hard but not supported then someone steps on the object and sharpie road bump all over the floor.
