Sheet Metal Brake & Rock Crawler 3D-Printed

I am currently working on a MINI Sheet Metal Bending Table-Top PRESS BRAKE of which I will upload soon and was wondering if anyone would be interested in PDF drawings and a video of the design. Just wanted to know before took the time to make up the mechanical drawings, etc.

I Put a lot of TOOLS I have made on this website and thought this time I would put an Update of a 'Just-for-Fun' project helped a friend with because it took a lot of CAD design time, 3D-Printing, and tools to make.

Amazing RC projects you have on your site! Just curious, why didn't your client not just go with a kit?

Thank you for the note and great question :-)

I think it started out as 'just-for-fun' retirement project as a way to make customs parts for himself and in the process to try to learn more about a new technology (3D-Printing) ... and it ended up being a great way for him to learn how to use SolidWorks CAD Software by seeing how I made the STL files for 3D-Printing.
Lots of people want the kits and custom parts but they are too expensive to just give them away so he provides a place on Shapeways.com or his website to buy them.

As for me, 3 years ago 3D-Printing wasn't as prevalent as it is now in Home Workshops for making little parts, so I wanted to learn more about it so this project was a great excuse to learn. Since then I have used my little cheapo 3D-Printed to make lots of little shop items...

Amazing stuff. I was into RC for a short time, so I appreciate that aspect of your work. Nowadays, I've been wanting to get into 3D printing but have little in the way of time or money to get into it.

Thank you for the nice note Paul. Quite a complement coming from someone like yourself that has so much to offer on this Website. Wish I could post more projects; however, most are for other people that don't want all of their secret designs shown *grin* ... So I was happy to get your note that you (and hopefully others) enjoy the 'Just-for-Fun' Project Website with items like:

Will be posting some Aluminum, Brass, and Cast Iron "Metal Casting" items in the future made from "3D-Printed Patterns" drawn with SolidWorks ... I just need to finish the machining of some of the test items to have enough photographs... but here are some teaser photos *smile*

Your modified pallet jack project looks very handy for moving heavy machine tools around your workshop. Thanks for the link to your detailed website on how to make the modifications. Designing 3D casting patterns in SolidWorks and making these with a 3D printer is very promising and there will be a lot of interest. Regards, Paul
