shelf
That wall with pallet wood was very empty ... so it occurred to me to put a shelf, with an old wooden beam, since it is a workshop I wanted to give it an industrial touch, so I mounted those tensioners and the truth is that gives it a pretty cool touch.
I hope you enjoy the video and you like the idea: P

I guess I have to admit that it looks neat. And it goes well with the pallet wood wall.
But the most valuable thing in my shop is space. And that massive piece of wood is a super space waster. First, it is about 5" thick when 3/4" would have been enough. And second, it is not very deep, so many items just will not fit on it.
Overall, I would say it wastes about three times it's own volume between the excessive thickness and the air in front of where a normal shelf could have held items.
But, yes, it does look nice.
