As hard as he struck his forehead then the back of his head on the dock wall, he may have been unconscious by the time he hit the water

Your average ladder is not meant to be used in that manner. Ouch

MAY have been unconscious? I'm pretty sure if that happened to me, and I was not unconscious, I would definitely WISH I was. Might have been dead by the time he hit the water, too.

I'm still wincing just thinking about it.

I have a ladder that looks something like that after my 280lb BiL decided to extend it as far as it would go and set at about a 45* angle. After he folded it almost double I pointed out the ladder had a 200lb weight limit. oops

If my BiL did that to one of my ladders, he would then OWN it!!!

It was actually his ladder I just ended up with it. It had a couple straight sections that were long enough to be useful to me.

If it was your BiL and you owned the ladder, he'd get a bill or you'd dis-own him?

Per the gif, this rescue is complicated by several conditions, including unconscious man in the water, compared to being in open water.
