That's a great collection. I don't understand the micrometer holder. How does it work?

Gday, the micrometer is clamped in the holder which frees up both hands, ill try and remember to show it in the next video, cheers

It's also supposed to keep the micrometer from heating up from your hands, to give the most accurate possible reading, among other things. Not essential in most shops, but a very nice to have if you ever do high-precision work. They were also often an apprenticeship project.

That is a very nice collection of tools you made there!

The optical finder just gave me this idea, why not make the optical finder look like a Chess piece, the Rook to be precise. I'm pretty sure I can't make a center punch like Uri Tuchman but making one look like a Rook should be easy.
