Short form tool-less quick change milling system

To save constantly using the drawbar I made these quick change adapters. They are far shorter than regular tooling and can help on machines with restricted height access. They are also useful for production runs and can be also used on CNC lathes and mills.

    Mook's Tools
Part 1 in a series where this system is demonstrated on various machine tools. This episode shows 7 tapped holes from M3 to M12 on a Bridgeport type machine.

The QR system adapted for the centre lathe. Just a few images at this stage.

By sheer coincidence, for Xmas Santa gave me a present of one of these quick change holders along with several tapping collets. The collets arrived today. Hence your video was well timed, thanks for that. I look forward to trying mine out.

BTW. I made a tool post mounted R8 collect holder as shown here Lathe drilling from the toolpost.
I machined the R8 hole directly in the tool holder. This was mounted to one side as yours.
Later I also made a front mounted chuck block, but only for a drill chuck, scroll down to post #10.
I might follow your example and change to an ERnn collet holder.

The R8 adapter is 32mm diameter and I will also try this in my ER40 front mounted collet to see how well it works.
