I like having the ability of storing the power cord off of the cart. I'm just not fond of having a double male cord which according to your pictures this might be the way you went with it. here is a picture of a couple of inlet receptacles which allow for the use of a standard design male female cord.

Hi Frank, Well it all started when i had this generator that had a female 220 volt outlet then I bought a 20 ft extension cord, then I wanted to adapt it to the welder.
So I put a big red light on the power box and never turned it on before I plugged it in . and so it is now.

I know the feeling I had a generator set up that way for a while at a place I lived. But one day I needed the cord for something else and changed 1 end then instead of needing to change it back every time I wanted to use the generator as auxiliary power I bought one of the recessed male connectors to install at the house problem solved and the risk of someone else not knowing the double male cord. I left the female receptacle on the house as well giving me double use out of my cord.

    Suicide Cord.

This is a direct violation of National Electrical Code Section 406.6 (A) and (B). Commonly called "suicide cords". Remember you will be held personally libel if it causes a fire or someone receives a shock. I would deem this not worth the risk. Other methods to avoid this have been shown by Frank S. Worth the cost.
