    My mom had a job like that after the factory she worked at closed (she was a final inspector of airplane engine blocks...then the war ended). She put endless cardboard cans of mothballs into a machine that crimped on the bottoms (they filled them upside down). She was always thankful to go home with all her fingers.

    I wonder why they didn't make at double die that did it in one operation and auto-ejected the part?

    I am surprised that there is nothing to index the first bend - square or depth - except his fingers.

    If you look close there is a stop there, we're looking from the side so it's harder to see.

    I see it now - the plate that is adjustable by the threaded rod will take care of both depth and squareness.
