    These pictures are of my wife (she's leaning against the train in one picture) with the AeroTrain but the dates don't seem right. The slides these are from came from a reel shot in 1958-9 (there's person pictures in the batch that identify the period).

    I looked this up and it seems this train didn't exist back then.

    Thanks for posting! Odd thing in the pic seems to be that the hearse-like rear end doesn't carry the Chevy logo as in this one:

    Some time in 1956 #1001 seems to have been put in between Cleveland & Chicago in the NYC livery:

    The rear end is quite a bit different between the two. Also, my wife thinks this would have been in San Jose, California. They didn't have much money so travel was very limited. But a trip to the local train station to see this would have been something they would have done.
