I once knew some Airforce pilots that would consider that landing strip about equal to Edwards air base compared to where they landed and took off in their C130s

come in too low and hit the side of the mountain com in too high will cause you not to have enough stopping distance before falling off the other side of the mountain.
I forget exactly where it was but there was a combat landing strip I believe was in Cambodia, or maybe Laos, that went right up the side of the mountain you came in low just barely clearing the canopy of the jungle at close to a stall speed, landed up hill stopping was easy as the runway was nearly a 45° up slope but taking off you needed to be at the very top end get half way down the strip and fire every Jato you had mounted in the plane to gain enough speed so you could pull up in time to clear the canopy.
I firmly believe that there were come combat pilots who could land and take off a C130 in a stadium

The airport in Lukla, Nepal is the most dangerous in the world by all measure, since the short 1,600 foot runway ends at a 2,000 foot cliff. Failure to reach rotation speed is extremely discouraged.

The Aspen approach is extremely treacherous, as well due to the winding, banking final maneuvers. The old Hong Kong airport was the subject of several famous YouTube videos featuring very large aircraft.
