The German bender is a commercial product, not something I made. I'm not sure it's still made. I'll try to put up some details later.

Love it. Gas pipe is acceptable, around here it's hard to find. Just got natural gas a couple of years ago, now they use plastic. Ain't that a shame.

Nice work! A small bender like this has been on my todo list for some time. Also considering a larger Hossfeld style bender. Just a matter of time for a working stiff.

The answer to everything is on the web. If you Google...

you can learn more than you probably wanted to know about the German bender I referred to in my original post. There are even some images there.

Searching is an art. Many folks are frustrated by bad spelling, sloppy typing and a lack of correct terminology into thinking that the big search engines aren't very good. My experience has been that with a bit of care and some patience, they'll find even the most arcane material.

I often wonder if back in 1989 or 90 if Berners-Lee of CERN envisioned what would eventually become of his idea of having users being able to communicate with each other without having to physically know each others code. Buy me a cup of coffee plug your telephone head set into your 12k modem slip in a 5 1/4" or 8" floppy or fire up your tape drive and our computers can talk. OH you have a new scuzzy well use that instead.

I must agree with the over designed tool. You do not worry about it ever letting you down.
