    Not bad, I like gear reduction. Frame looks real sturdy.
    Mine wouldn't winch chain, but webbing rigged to grab hook attached to short chain. Almost like a ratchet strap, slotted hub to reduce slack, then wind the spool.
    We pulled stumps which have to be more difficult, yet faster. 6 x 6 x 12' lumber, a 30' tow strap and 3/4 ton truck. Round off top of lumber, connect to tow hook, run strap over top of 6 x 6, set near stump for near vertical pull, throw a simple clove hitch around stump, put truck in gear, pull evenly and slowly. Pops them 8" to 10" volunteer growth right out. Basically a shipboard style jib crane - cargo winch.
