How to Restore Faded Plastic Bumpers and Trims on a Car

Hello everyone! This is video I want to show you How to Restore Faded Plastic Bumpers and Trims on a Car.
This is how you can bring most faded plastics back to life on your car. Be sure to try this method on a tester patch that is hidden to make sure that it doesn't damage your plastic before starting on any visible areas.

This method can be used on most of the plastic trims on your car that aren't painted such as mirrors, bumpers, wheel arch covers and much more.

The car which I did this wing mirror on has been sat out in the elements for at least 20 years as you can see by the state of the it. I will use only head gun and water. Thanks for watching and for support.

Careful flashing with a plumber's torch will also do the same trick, only faster. Just be very careful and use a piece of tin or thin steel to mask flammable areas holding the metal to deflect flame away from combustibles. You need to merely 'flash' the scratched or marred plastic. Over heat will cause the simulated effect to disappear.
