Nice job, we all like to make tools to make the job easier. It always seems there is one thing left on the truck when we are on the third floor.
An quick solution to this problem is place end of tape in corner make a mark at 10" reverse tape to other corner measure to the 10" mark and add 10" to reading.
    Reading from corner to 10" mark 67 7/16"+10"=77 7/16".

Pretty handy trick to keep in mind.

Yet another internet video where you have NO IDEA where it is going until the end.

Your last 60 seconds should have been the FIRST 60 seconds. And there should have been a voice narration to accompany it.

PS: It is a good idea.

I agree with Paul. Show the finished piece first. Then show how you made it...

I appreciate the tool, but I’m not a fan of instructional videos. I am aware of tools and how to use them. Short and to the point is good, long and drawn out leads to fast forwarding and possibly missing out on something good.
    Nice tool, good job.

It's a clever little tool but I would probably lose it in my tool bag. I prefer an internal reading tape measure, costs about the same as a standard tape measure.
