    I've seen similar pics in a woodworking book/mag some years back. I think it was in Finland and of course all the below water structure was made from treated wood. Here in Noosa the local Council dug up a road constructed over a hundred odd years before, as the road continually needed fixing. What they found below in the foundations were thousands of Melaleuca tree stems still in sound condition. I guess that is why some idiot planted them in the everglades to prosper and dry the area up. Maybe Lincoln Vail needed less h2o.
