    That's a nasty one, looks as though he broke his leg as he hit the lorry. This could have been avoided by counter steering as there was plenty of room on the road. Unfortunately he did the opposite by turning the bars bars away from the pickup truck which tipped the bike into the side of it, the result was inevitable.

    Slowing down coming into town when he saw the car pulling out might have been an even better idea

    Agreed Frank but sometimes you find youself in a situation you should not have been in and are looking for a way out.

    Yep could have happened to me a few times when I was young and dumber. Toppe da hill once on a motorcycle doing excess of 100 How much excess I won't say. not far down the other side was a small herd of cattle on the road, saw there was no way to get completely stopped in time, got as slow as I could then at the very last second spotted the gap in the fence they had came out of, put it in the ditch and through the gap Norton 850 Commandos don't make the best dirt bikes, but I didn't hit a cow or a fence post

    I have to say, I was shocked when his crumpled body moved as he tried to get up after that!! I was thinking he was a goner for sure.
