How do you fill and check the lube level...
It would appear he is going to rely on hard grease for lubrication. This would be fine for the type of unit he made as every thin is almost in the same constant rotation only differing when making turns causing 1 wheel to over run or under run the other.
I would be more concerned with adding the snap ring retainers to secure the axles to the spider gears. This can be accomplished on at least 1 of the axles during assembly, The other side shouldn't be a problem either since there is room behind the pillow block bearing.
All in all it is a great idea

Last century, used to make chain drive diffs out of BMC FWD diffs. Didn't bother making new carriers, just made a Al cylindrical cover to fit carrier, see 51 seconds.
Machined carrier for o ring grooves for sealing... Sprocket bolted on instead of ring gear.
Wire snap rings are standard automotive practice for inner axle retaining... They will disengage with the use of a sliding hammer...
I do consider that he is a trifle optimistic on the lube side, however, considering he fitted oil seals.
