Scroll up to cales2021 post. He has put it into CAD and has a link to it. WmRMeyers is correct, it can easily be made without a milling machine.

The only problem is that all of the letters would be equally spaced. Some items need to be off center to look right. Punctuation especially.

    Nice design and build.

True, that, but was so noted in the description. Might have to grind the sides of the narrower letter/number/punctuation stamps to get the spacings right... That could be a couple of fun days with a handful of files! There has to be a better way, but my brain is probably not going to come up with it. Make a few blank spaces, too, maybe...

Yes there are several better ways. Laser engraving would be my favourite but I do not have a laser. CNC mill engraving is good but rather overkill or otherwise unsuited to many jobs.
Grinding down the narrow characters as you suggest is a useful practical approach.

I want a laser engraver, myself. As they say, want in one hand, spit in the other, and see which one gets full first. Though I keep looking at the little cheap CNC 3018 mill/engraver/laser cutter things and think dark thoughts about putting a super-power laser on one, and attaching a dividing head to it...

I need another project like I need another hole in my head.
