    You have to leave it in there for a day or two. And it's not quiet. I used to work at a machine shop that had a rotary tumbler. Put your parts in, turn it on, and go home for the weekend.

    Almost everyone has their own "secrete sauce". Ceramic (cones, squares, pyramids), walnut shells, pea gravel, various shapes of hard polymers, ball bearings, corn husks, its endless! Various substrates react differently to different materials.

    we had one at a place I worked back in the 90's where I learned how to cnc program&run the hurco cnc mills.
