They rely on Instrument Landing System "ILS". A ground-based system uses radio frequencies to transmit lateral and vertical guidance directly to the cockpit, keeping the plane perfectly aligned with the runway.

The ILS provides “guidance” to the crew, but the crew manages the flight path to landing. Larger aircraft, such as Boeing 777/787, Airbus A380/340, etc. are optionally equipped with “Cat-3b Auto-Land Systems,” which can indeed be coupled to the Autopilot and fly the aircraft along the descent to touchdown, but they’re a very expensive option for airlines to purchase and maintain. The system you hear calling out the altitude alerts is called the Enhanced Ground Warning System (EGPWS) which provides a multitude of advisory information to the crew, including wind-shear warnings.

A little bit of casual research suggests that the instrument on the left of the panel is simply a clock. It seems odd that it would be blurred for this video.
