    True, that! Though he could well have been hurt badly enough that he didn't stay up. Close up explosions can do a lot of damage. I've been around explosions, but always at a safe distance to avoid injury. He was IN the fireball of burning gases. Concussion, fragments of whatever caused the explosion, and the temperature of that fireball all could have done damage from minor to severe.

    I think that might be from an electrical transformer explosion/fire in New York City. It's certainly a transformer going up as he walks across the cooling grates in the sidewalk. And the fire afterward is the transformer oil burning. That smoke is probably as bad as, if not worse than, the explosion.
