    A Sledge for hauling stuff around the property - fantastic tool!

    Here's the sledge I built 20 years ago.
    1/2" UHMW bottom, 2x6 pressure treated for the sides and tailgate.
    Polypro rope of some sort.

    It hauls a HUGE amount of stuff without grunting to get it up into a barrow or cart.
    Think: BIG rocks or lots of firewood.

    ductape's Tools
    UHMW is a very good material for this because it's so tough and slippery. It's also pretty entertaining to learn new cuss words from machinists who work with it.

    I forgot to mention that I simply made a shallow cut in the UHMW with a skilsaw to make the upward bend in front.
    If I remember right, I even heated it with a heat gun a bit,then just quickly screwed it in place to the 2x6's.

    I could tell you a few, but I have a nephew in the Navy and I wouldn't want him to blush reading them.
