Slide Hammer Safety Modification

Hi Everybody,
I have a Harbor Freight Stud Welder that came with a slide hammer, for pulling out dents.
it works pretty good, but the last time I used it, I smashed the bottom of my hand between the slide weight, and the handle.
Hurt like the dickens! Here’s how I fixed it, so that it won’t happen again.

Great fix. But my pricier puller didnt seem to have that issue. But if i need one again, ill remember this.
