Yes, it's particularly annoying when folks who have made little or no forum content contributions take it upon themselves to advise how the forum should be run. Life is the process of gleaning your personal treasures from the totality of the harvest, not replanting the field.

According to Frank those of us who originally signed on to quickly view tool applications and unique tool builds and modifications must now sort through the non-tool posts - because we need to look at human nature also. I subscribe to a number of forums that focus upon specific topics with others who have like minded interests. Some focus on engineering projects, some on specific brands of automobiles or repair projects; or electronics, arduino etc. If I want to see Women doing backflips, or shooting long bows, or throwing baseballs with their feet or whatever, I CAN FIND SITES that will cater to these images. I was just hoping "HomemadeTools" would not need to include such posts to remain a viable site.
Straw man fallacy. According to Frank, you can just avoid this subforum if you want. It's that easy.
There's also no conversational spillover from this subforum into another one. For example, some sites have politics subforums that generate interpersonal conflict which then bleeds into non-political subforums. We don't.
You've said your piece, you've been heard, and that's that. We're not eliminating this subforum. If you feel a need to address it further, you can do so in the Site Suggestions and Help subforum.
