Star knob jig for the drill press

    Hello,

This is an older video of me where I made a star knob jig for my drill press.

When I made this jig I never thought I'd use it for so many projects. That's why I like to share this with you.
Enjoy the video and if you have questions to build it yourself I will help you as much as possible.

Nice, all the while watching it I was thinking "You should make some knobs for that jig, it'll be much faster than using a wrench" Well I was thinking it right up to the end

Wait 'til you've got a lathe and buy a knurler. You'll start seeing nice knurled hand knobs all over the place. And then you'll experiment with anodizing and coloring aluminum and will be effectively out of control.

Nice job on the jig - hand knobs are just right for many many things.
If you can't make it precise make it adjustable.

Lol. "When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. When you have a knurler, everything looks like a knob"

Actually I've made a bunch with my 3D printer, there's a really cool knob generator here.

I wonder if there's a knob museum? There ought to be.
