Just another, Budding, hopefull, mini model engineer. aka "stillsteamin"
With a background in industrial HVAC & R and Building Automation, as well as some steam fitin' (sp, 2 t's?) boiler running, Auto Techin, Trench dign (sp, 2 g's?) and motorcycle fallin, I am now on this venture. Let's say I kind of started out roughly knowing the steam and the piston part and am slowly learning how to fill in the blanks. I have a small Grizzly mill GO768 (great!) and Griz GO758- 8x16 Lathe(a real mess in all aspects), many grinders, press, welders, electric hack/band saw, etc. but small-medium basement workshop.
Looking for some other ideas to make a lathe toolpost grinder holder, stumbled on this FREE Homemade Tool book.
I had a Dremel, but it has seen to many hours to have any accuracy. I just purchased a fleabay hand grinder that is 9 times bigger than I thought. ha 14 inches didn't sound that big and it didn't look so freakin heavy in the pic. I'll probably end up pulling some weight off of the cord end with some kinda stretchy thing and Build a holder for the long neck part out of 6061, should suffice.
