Stock Support for my Milling Machine

For quite some time I have been using two drill presses side by side to support long material being drilled. Of course that was no good for milling. Some people place two vises on their milling machine table for the same purpose.

I collected some short lengths of scrap tubing and bar stock, tack welded them to a piece of 3/4" cold roll plate, and surfaced the top to the same height as the vise base (2 7/8"). It is bolted to t-nuts, and can be slid to any position and placed on either end of the table.
