Back when the current general manager worked in the tool shed, and they still built Isuzu P'ups I used to deliver and repair the bikes they used to travel around inside the plant. Each time the bikes I was there to repair were in different places, so I got to see a lot of the place. After a few years they just told me where the bikes were and let me loose. It was neat to see the plant from a perspective other than you see in promo videos. What surprised me was the sound. It isn't as loud as I though a car plant would be.

I remember touring the GM Fremont, Calif plant in the mid late 60s. They made the mid sized A platforms there, and it was amazing to see the various models coming down the line all mixed up...a Chevelle, then a Skylark, Cutlass or a Tempest. And as Sossol said, it was not nearly as noisy as you would have thought, but probably noisier than today...cheers
