Submersible lifeboat listing - photo

I have never really wanted a boat, but one of these might be kind of different. Not the best in creature comforts, but it would certainly be durable.

It would make a great all weather fishing platform, however towing might be an issue seeing as it weighs 20000lb.

Great for a doomsday prepper

That's how we get into Russia with the border closed!
Assuming they have their submarine detection turned off.
On second thought...

About 10 years ago I did a job on the West coast in a little fishing community. I lived there for about a year. There were always about 10 - 20 tankers queued up off in the distance and the crew would shuttle back and forth to shore in these things. They are so unbelievably cool. The price has gone up quite a bit in the last few years because people are buying them and converting them to some sort of living/touring craft. I'd love to buy one but they've become too expensive.

Blue water capable boats are on a whole different level.

That would make a fun doomsday survival vehicle. Think of that beast of a vehicle in the 1977 movie, Damnation Alley.

I certainly wouldn't make it electric powered, though. A good old 454 with all wheel drive and you'd be the stuff of legends.

What in tarnation is it rolling on? It looks about as practical as He-Man's Attack Track.
