Sun shade for your marine chart plotter, using the "KISS" method.
I needed some shade for my Raymarine 9" chart plotter and looked on the web for ideas and saw that everyone started their video by showing everything that was needed to construct a sunshade, wow, so many tools and so many parts, tape, hair dryers, velcro, glue, flimsy plastic, and I decided, too much shopping and parts involved. I started out, cutting out the sides and roof and realized that my roof was nothing more than my screen cover, so I used my screen cover as my roof for shade. One advantage is that you don't have to worry where to store your cover, when using you plotter, you know exactly where it is. There other is, one has to cut out just two parts. My shape is for a specific plotter, but this shape can be changed to fit almost any plotter. The side rails will have to be removed to replace the screen cover. So, there you go.
