    Swarf Puffer

I have a compressor but do not use compressed air on my machines, however there are times when a bit of air to clear swarf from blind tapped holes etc would be useful. I have tried cheap plastic ones which dont last long so decided to make one. I had a gas ram from an office chair which had failed which seemed a good place to start. Made a new O Ring piston and a nozzle from bits from the scrap box, turned out really good and heavier than the plastic ones so more stable to use. I can see me using it for clearing dust from drilled masonry holes also.

Looks a lot like a pump for an old Coleman lamp.

Yes very good. Far as holes in masonry go, anything is better than the efforts to clean out inventories of battery filler bulbs, that only fit 1/2" plus holes.
Olderdans cylinder is ready made for tubing fittings, changeable at will.
