I remember seeing some early videos of this when he was initially building it. At that point, it just had 2 tubes making the gooseneck, and he was testing how it all moved and worked. People didn't realize he was testing a prototype, and were trying to roast him about it not being strong enough, etc. If he didn't have it quite right, it would be easy to change since it was only 2 tubes, made perfect sense to do some testing and see range of motion around the jeep and make sure it didn't hit on anything.
So it's nice to see the completed build and how well that seems to work.
Also, the on-road version of this was done back in the 60's or 70's with a VW beetle and a camper. His version is the off-road one and has far more articulation than any previous versions.
