    A table for my mill

I needed a strong low vibration table for my 3HP 3ph Enco mill on my Converted Household goods trailer now dubbed the machine shop van. Not wanting to spend a lot of money for a 30 by 93" sheet of 1" or thicker steel plate and not wanting to have to fabricate such a heavy table in the van either I bought 20 cheap 2x4 studs gallon of wood glue and 4 1/2" all thread 36" long for less than $80.00

I pre-drilled all of the studs then assembled them on the rods slathering glue on them as I went

after sanding both top and bottom smooth I used the long drill bit I made to attach the table to the wheel wells of the van (see stretch your drill bit thread)

I then cut a steel overlay for it from a sheet of 3/16" AR 400 plate left over from a previous build ( see the Dump truck extension thread)
