Pay attention...3 spokes are correct provision for ergonomics IMNSHO. Cap'n, is the sleeve MT, and threading wrench slide fit within, as it appears? My temptation would fit the tang to tailstock and barest portion in front of taper with actual contact, for quick install and remove. Relieving a MT sleeve OD, and boring the hole [in other words]. Shopmade, the extension could be any length desired.
