    Techno Freak!! Thats me!

I simply love technology - all kinds!! I am very interested in cnc and hope to build a smallish desktop kind of cnc milling machine or router. I am currently in the process of building a Prusa I3 3D printer. Its almost complete except for the electronics and software. I try and do most of the handyman work around my home and have done almost everything except for welding and bricklaying. I have an invertor welder which I bought a few years ago. I just need to learn how to use it!! I also tinker around with electronics including micro-controllers and I design my own circuit boards.

I am employed as an Electrician Technician, manage projects and do design on medium voltage sub stations, electrical control systems and motor control centres.

Thanks! The printer build is going a bit too slow for me at present. Most of it is complete. What's left is too mount the aluminium heat bed, hook up the electronics and program the controller. Then there's the calibration. I've modified an old computer power supply which i had lying around. The wiring is complete except for the heat bed. I have to mount the controller and connect everything to it. Struggling to find time, with the pressure of work to contend with as well. I'll post some pics one of the days.
