Test Rig For Rotary Sensor Chip

Here's something I put together over the weekend.

It's a test rig for a Magnetic Rotary Sensor chip. I've tried to minimise the metal in the construction so that it does not intefere with the magnetic fields. The magnet height is controlled by screwing the holder onto the bolt. The alignment of the PCB can be adjusted and then locked down to the base.

The main body is wood with plastic toilet fittings to rotate the magnet. Some Sugru holds the magnets in place, forms a knob for rotation and also holds a couple of plastic pieces that support the PCB.

    Hi Andy,

Neat test rig - have you got a link to its page on your site? As soon as I get the link, I'll add it to the database.

    Regards,
    Ken

Very cool - we appreciate the early scoop!

Just an FYI: when processing submissions from forum members who run their own sites, we prefer to link directly back to the original pages. That accomplishes two things:

    1. It increases page views on the member's site.
    2. It avoids us having to juggle and/or merge two builder pages for that member, one for tools posted on his own site and one for tools posted directly to this forum.

Can't wait to see the completed test rig!
