Reminds of years ago where I worked. Boys would test the Leopard tank searchlites. Couldn't miss that distinctive hum before the light cranked up. Rated at 30 million candlepower. Seemed a lot back when I was playing with big boys toys, but now see these hand held units that claim to be of similar, or even more power.

My Grandpa was an Electrical Contractor who owned his own business in St. Louis for many years. One evening there was a garage fire down the block and all the power went off. It just so happened Grandpa had a dozen or more Emergency Lighting units in his garage charging-up that he had changed the batteries in. Yes, every one of them came on and his garage lit-up like it was radioactive. The firemen came running down and were trying to get in the garage thinking it was also on fire. Grandma had to let them in to check it out. It was funny when it was all over.
