I had one of those kits back in the early 1990's for fixing inner tubes on the go-kart and lawnmower. The hardest thing was getting it to start burning when outside if there was any wind. Once it did catch, it made a permanent seal. Much better than the current cement patches today.

There was a Texaco station across from where I lived that had a setup like that back in the late sixties.
