One use for Polycarbonate is helicopter windscreens. Experienced a bird strike once and other than getting a big fright, there was absolutely no damage.
I'm glad he didn't slip when he was bending that sheet in half!
When I worked at my pal's glass shop many years ago we put it in the downstairs door for a window. Whenever someone asked how strong polycarbonate was we would throw a 3 lb hammer at it overhand. Sold a fair amount of it that way.
Is there a specific brand or just any polycarbonate from Amazon?
There are many manufacturers but we sold Lexan. I'm not sure what my buddy is selling now, that was over 20 years ago.
