inch-gram!? Now there's a bastard unit I never encountered before.
Taking a closer look at the scale it appears to be 70 grams of torque per 1 inch of deflection by the indicator or 2.469177 ounces.
maybe it was just easier to mark in grams for the amount of torque applied but for those who wouldn't understand the rest of the metric system marked the scale off in with an inch but that still wouldn't explain why there are 14 divisions in the inch if in-fact that is an inch of distance.
At any case unless the guys finger is displacing the indicator the calibration is bad
