An elegant solution to a problem. Because of the many pursuits I follow in my shop, it would need to be 6 feet on a side. Minimum. . . I use empty wire spools to carry several types of tools. Chislels on one, screwdrivers on another. . . Heavy tools have hangers on the walls. The spools are individual, depending on whether I'm doing electrical, metal working, wood working, model making, etc. Each is on a stand of a short piece of 1X6 with a piece of dowel in the center and a PVC coupling for a "riser". Not as convenient as what is shown here, they just sit on the bench. But suitable for what I do.
