Nice build but I get a very unsafe feeling from the back of my neck.

When working around this type of equipment there is never a totally safe way to build or operate it. Safety practices begins and ends with the individual
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

I totally agree Frank, I love this machine, it’s simple and strong and doesn’t look any more dangerous than any other PTO attachment I have ever seen. Most farmers would use this safely and those that fail to will only strengthen the gene pool.

It is a nice build and safety aside as stated above the only thing I might do is put a cover over the gear train to keep the chips out and some grease on. Impressive cuts on that ~3"+ green stuff.
Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

They are called Rebak Walcowey and I have amassed about 1/2 the materials to make on. Here's a link to a Russian site with some good plans: Чертежи для Вас
The plans for the wood chipper are on page 11.
I've worked up a design that incorporates a mulcher as well to deal with the small stuff.
