    Trades day vender trailer

A couple years ago I converted this box trailer for a friend of mine
It started out as a digital cable display trailer

I started by removing all of the interior shelvs

Then I cut the side down to the fender

Then I made a large steel shelf unit and 2 smaller ones the large one is mounted on a 4 link system and raised with a winch this brings the shelf from its at rest position near the middle of the trailer up and out against the side the small shelves are on hinges which allows them to fold to the inside against the large shelf keeping any product from being able to fall off during movement

Later the frames were covered with wood

the finished trailer looks like this going down the road

but in as little as 5 minutes it looks like this

You might note why I also use KBS Paint products

Very nice setup, practical, orderly, business-like, sure not a Yankee peddler theme. Old Sam Walton started with nothing even close.
I've checked your KBS link before; it resides in a 'tool' tab with other respectable manufacturers. I've put off lots of painting already, but when weather returns, I've a list of builds that all lack the finish they deserve.
All will have varied industrial colors, I'm not Henry Ford. Occurs to me, divide colors according to purpose. Machinery Gray is a definite; recently viewed a Monarch EE that is practically Powder Blue. Not sure what could inspire that...

Well the guy who owns the trailer was from Mo. but lives in Ct. since its completion in early 2015 the trailer has ben to no less then 200 car / truck and swap meets he has gone from selling a few $100.00 a show to being 1 of only 2 factory authorized reps. and almost outsells the factory itself one month his Fed-ex bill alone wass close to 5k
We have plans for me to build him a larger tandem axle trailer or convert a motor home into half product and half living quarters.
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Last week the little venders trailer showed up from Connecticut for some mods and repairs.
He wanted to finally hook up the brakes after 4 years of me telling him he was pushing his luck hauling a trailer that weighed half as much as his F150 all over the east coast in all kinds of weather without brakes. So it took the trailer almost pushing him into the rear end of a cop after the officer had gone around him and cut him off by deciding to go from the left lane of 4 to exit right in front of him, to decide he should have brakes.
While the trailer was here he wanted to do away with a shelf on the vender side and replace some aluminum.
I decided to repack the wheel bearings since I knew if he hadn't bothered to hook up the brakes he surely hadn't checked the bearings either.
the following pictures show a little better view of how the trailer works. with the elevating main shelf and the winged shelves.
Some things are self explanatory but one note as to why the long bolts on the link bars. they are there to serve as a stop for the shelf going up
As it was with the fold down shelf

his wiring after he had drug all of the wires off of it
