Good one Jon! Video Fun! Luckily that truck decoupled and only bounced the driver off the door!
-
Agreed, Also the driver obviously ran a red light guess he has never heard of the old saying red is dead.

And he walked away. That driver is luckier than he can even imagine

Yeah he walked away. Lucky, a little shell shocked and wobbly, but walked away; to get hit another day. His posture and glance down track, you can almost hear "Dang, gotta call dispatch....again!"
-
He probably needed a change of underwear after that

The stark suddenness is what gets me every time. Saw a movie while back with Anne Hathaway where the shot was of her riding a bike down an alley from the back and Bammmmm Gone, done in by a truck. Seems to be a trend now in Cinematography, which I dislike. I woke up days later with that scene in my head. Think the worlds got enough PTSD to go around...don't need any more.

Tell me that's not an electrician or service man of some kind 12 seconds into the GIF. Just right of center as last carriage passes, truck and all. Bet he was in the switchgear...

Now that I see it here I think you are right! Hope the investigation doesn't say it was "faulty sensors''''''like they did on the news. Saw it way too many times on a 3 day news cycle and never caught that...went fat, dumb and happy the guy (cop) went hard to port in time.

It does look that way. However it is likely that he was in the switch gear because something wasn't working correctly.
I would have to imagine that the average road patrol cop sees a lot of things like this in a lifetime. Most people spend maybe 30 minutes a day on the road. Truck drivers are likely another occupation that sees a lot of weird behaviour, just missed accidents and smash ups that do happen, on the road.
Reminds me of a driving vacation I took a couple of years ago from NY to Florida. Spent a little under a week in Florida and had the misfortune to come across three rather massive accidents. I'm not trying to say Florida drivers are bad here but that was more severe smash up than I see most winters around here.

Didja notice the "NO TRUCKS" sign right there at the crossing?
