I just read about this. They're incredibly accurate! They smell the mine then signal the position by avoidance. They're looking at ways to attach a tracker that will map with the assistance of a person monitoring their reactions. I still wouldn't trust a rodent with my life though. I've seen enough movies about them to know better! (Willard, Ben). anyway, why do you think they call them rats!
