Tree stump corer

Stump grinding videos are the arboreal equivalent of the popular zit popping videos, or the power washing videos, or the cold start diesel engine videos. However, they're more creative, because there are actually numerous ways to remove tree stumps, and many different kinds of purpose-built machines and tractor attachments for stump removal. Pulling, burning, grinding, sawing, etc.

So far, this is the best one I've found. It's not really a stump "grinder" as the video name states. It removes the stump like a giant holesaw, and then it pops the stump core out perfectly at the end.

I've seen plenty of small stump grinders, but this stuff is truly impressive. No idea of new cost, but check out the used page. 6 yr old 1000 hours for $48k!! Cheers

Note how this stump is already removed from the ground, assumedly for demonstration purposes. It's that final inch to the ground that really matters in stump removal; otherwise a chainsaw usually works just fine.

Great for farms but most farmers are more savvy these days and know burls are top$ . Good demo of out of ground stump. I think this is deliberate as it is quite difficult to remove a stump esp Ausie H'wood without some stem left for better leverage.

Excavator can remove much more easily with some bole still attached and burls can be removed for resale before grinding remaining stump for chips. The design doesn't really cater to cut into dirt & stones (possibly very hard black or white granite basalt rocks: common here).
Just my thoughts as I'm no expert but have done stump removal & grinding.
