Wife always asks me, "Why do we have to go so fast past the trucks?" I try never drive beside one when I am trapped by a car in front.

Good thing no one was hurt. That's as bad or even worse than driving drunk, in some cases.

Although blow-outs on big trucks are statistically rare, they can be life-alteringly catastrophic to whatever is adjacent to them... so, for that reason as well I like to pass trucks with dispatch.
