You don't want the DOT to catch you with binders that are not stamped here either. For as long as I can remember flat bed haulers used 5/16" load chains, low bed IE Step decks roll backs ETC. used 3/8" and sometimes 1/2" mostly. Now the DOT says 3/8" for most things and 1/2" minimum for any type of earth moving equipment.
