TURNED VASES
Here, I show three vases turned out of logs pruned in a public park in october 2014, so the wood is completely dry now. They are finished with boiled linseed oil, sealer and beeswax.
By the way, I don't know what kind of wood it is. Anybody has an idea?

Don't know what wood those are. But those look beautifull! What ever that wood is, it was a great choose.

Thanks, Tuomas. I agree that the combination of colors of this wood is just spectacular.
With remaining wood, I made a small bowl

and jewel box.

Hi !
Very nice work, and very nice wood indeed, well finished.
It could be yew, but looking closely, I don't think so.
Maybe sumac ?
Cheers,
Christophe

Thanks, Christophe.
I'm not sure if in the central area of Mexico there is sumac or yew, and none of these names are familiar to me. I'll keep investigating.
Cheers!

Camelina (Camelina sativa)
Croto (Codiaeum variegatum)
Eucalipto (Eucalyptus)
Grevilia (Grevillea robusta)
Jacaranda (Jacaranda)
Pirul (Schinus molle)
Trueno (Ligustrum vulgare)
